Missed calls don't leave voicemails any more. They ring your competitor.
Tuesday, 8.30am. The dental practice phone starts ringing, reception is two-deep, and the third caller — a new patient — hangs up and tries the practice down the road. A Zone Ten voice agent answers every call in natural speech, books what can be booked, takes a proper message for what can't, and puts a summary in your inbox before you've finished with the patient in the chair. You set the rules; anything outside them comes to a human.
For anyone whose hands are the business. The dentist mid-filling. The mechanic under a ramp. The plumber elbow-deep in someone's boiler. The physio with a patient on the bench. You can't answer, and you shouldn't have to — but the caller doesn't know that. They just know who picked up.
A receptionist's job, done every time the phone goes.
- 01Answers inbound calls in natural speech, with your greeting and your rules
- 02Books, moves and confirms appointments in your real diary, mid-call
- 03Missed-call rescue — if a call ever does slip, the caller gets a ring-back or a text within minutes
- 04Makes the outbound calls you put off — reminders, confirmations, "your MOT is due"
- 05Takes messages that are actually useful: who, what, number, how urgent
- 06Sends you a summary of every call — read it in ten seconds, act on it in one
- 07Routes the genuinely urgent straight through to a human, live
- 08Covers evenings and weekends, so "out of hours" stops meaning "out of luck"
Your number, your greeting, your rules. Live in a few weeks.
Scope
We listen to how your calls actually go — the bookings, the "how much", the emergencies — and agree a fixed price.
Build
We connect it to your phone number and diary. Keep your number; nothing changes for callers except that someone answers.
Teach
It learns your services, prices, and what counts as urgent in your trade. You ring it yourself, as awkwardly as you like, until it handles you properly.
Live
It starts answering. First month's support included; the Tune-up keeps it current after that.
Three levels of phone cover.
Every build is a fixed price, agreed in writing at scoping — the number on the scope is the number on the invoice.

The Tune-up
£180/month
Monthly call review, retraining on new services and prices, tweaks to greetings and routing, and a plain-English report: calls answered, jobs booked, messages taken. Cancel any month.
Fixed price at scoping. Call minutes and phone-line costs are passed through at cost and estimated on your scope — no surprises on the first bill.
Asked before, answered straight.
Will callers know it's not a person?
If they ask, it tells them — we don't build anything that lies to your customers. In practice, what callers care about is being answered promptly and booked in correctly. We tune the voice and greeting with you until you'd be happy hearing it answer your own business, and you sign it off before it takes a single call.
What happens with an emergency or a complicated call?
It gets a human, fast. You define what "urgent" means in your trade — a lost filling, a burst pipe, a customer using the word "complaint" — and those calls are put straight through or flagged to you immediately, with everything the caller said. The agent's job is triage, not heroics.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. It works with the number your customers already know. Callers notice exactly one difference: the phone gets answered.
Are calls recorded, and where does that data live?
Calls are transcribed so you get summaries and a searchable log, and it's all held under your control, never used to train public AI models — same commitment as everything else we build. Recording and transcription are configured to meet UK GDPR and PECR — callers are told at the start of the call, and what is kept, for how long, and who can see it is set out in writing in your service agreement. If your sector carries stricter rules, we build to those instead.
Count yesterday's missed calls. That's the pitch.
The free audit puts a number on what unanswered calls cost you. Or book a scoping call and hear what your greeting could sound like.
Zone Ten handles it.
